Baelo Claudia Roman ruins Andalucia


A small site compared with Pompei and Herculanean. Small is beautiful.The exhibits are mostly 1st Century AD. A few that caught my eye for you:

Fishing hooks below. Baelo Claudia was one of the major Garum paste producers. Making the most of the spawning Tuna runs from the Atlantic into the Med'  they used massive nets, not hooks, to gather them.
